Alexa V. Smyth's Biography

Author Profile.jpg

Alexa V. Smyth writes darkly whimsical fantasy and sci-fi, blending romance, horror, and the uncanny to explore love, loss, and human connection. A creative writing student and contender for the MFA program at SNHU, she has developed a growing portfolio of short fiction rooted in atmospheric worlds, morally complex characters, and the haunting beauty of the strange. Her forthcoming short story, Luck in Love, is the second installment of her Macrocosm of Eternities series.

Alexa is currently focused on completing her ongoing fantasy series which will have an expansive world and span over several different series that have intimate emotional arcs with some romantic threads. In addition to this series, Alexa is writing stand-alone stories across fantasy, sci-fi, and horror that examine the line between obsession and devotion, grief, moral ambiguity, and the crossroads of human longing with the impossible. Her long-term goal is to build a sustainable writing career defined by inventive storytelling, emotional resonance, and immersive, cross-genre worlds.

Beyond her fiction, Alexa actively cultivates a reader community on Instagram, Threads, and YouTube, where she shares writing updates, behind-the-scenes glimpses into her process, worldbuilding insights, and story concepts. She hopes to create a welcoming space for anyone who has ever loved a monster, a ghost, or an impossible dream - readers who believe that darkness can still hold beauty, and that imagination can be a refuge.
